Default x50 option

It seems you could have the x50 option without the sticker under the hood. So knowing that a surefire way to know for sure is if it has the k24 turbo correct? My car did have x51 option under the hood does that mean anything? Seems like that is a na code but mine deff says x51 under the original hood. My cAR seems to make .9 bar but I have seen an occasional rare 1.0. I am like 8 hours away from my car but this is killing me.

X51 on your hood decal likely refers to the exhaust tip option...

Why is it killing you? Get it up on a lift and look at the turbos when you have some time.

Someone could have swapped turbos. If it isn't on the options list, you don't have it from the factory. X51 is the dual turbo exhaust tips.

if the car were a factory equipped x50/k24 it will have the x50/gt2 IC's. feel up under them if they are cheese grater "rough" then in all probability you at least have the then best available factory setup. x51 is the exhaust tips for sure. x50 was the $17,800 factory option. tune remap larger k24's and the different intercoolers.

its rare for it ( x50 ) not to be listed under the bonnet on the options sticker, while its common to have x51 tips installed post build.

fairly sure that an x50 option was a factory build only. but it wouldn't surprise me to hear that a dealer had replicated the option with parts post build. but it's either x50 from the factory or it isn't. far as I've known.

Well I thought that X50 was the turbo power kit, X51 was the NA power kit and X54 was the twin tip exhaust option.

the n/a powerkit has always been designated ( iirc ) as the x51 so it wouldn't make sense for the tips to be x51, but although they are often referred to as "x50" tips, I'm not sure that is their part6 designation.

I cant locate any definitive answer on what the tip option is called. I had it once. but its long gone. so maybe it IS x54. doubting you is a dubious proposition, at best.
