Hello everyone, let me start by giving a big thanks to this forum and community. I've been lurking here ever since I got the P itch about a year ago. All the resources here helped me take the plunge. It seems like a tight community and I'm eager to share in it.
I've been a car guy as far as I can remember and always loved the form and function of all Porsches. I've mostly been a Volvo guy, yes you read that right, but I've been yearning for something more performance oriented. About 2 months ago I decided to go all in and picked up a 01 996 TT. And I literally mean "picked up." I live outside Denver but found the perfect model for me on eBay. The car was located in MO but after a lot of communication with the seller and getting a PPI done at a dealer, I felt it was a solid choice. I trailered the car home and have been obsessed ever since.
I'm loving every bit of 911 ownership and learning as much as I can on keeping it properly maintained. The car has a nice contrast color combo of black metallic paint with caramel/wood interior. It is a "girl-tronic" which I'm sure I'll catch flack for, but is was the right choice for me. The previous owner added a nice looking set of 19" wheels that were color matched to the interior.
Well, that's my story, sorry it got a bit long winded. I'm looking forward to getting to know the crew better. Thanks for your time.

Nice I got a tip too. Haters gonna hate. Great photos, and the car looks unique with the wheels. Lots of great people here who are ever ready to answer any questions no matter how trivial/technical. Now quit taking up so many parking spaces.

HA, just for the photo op, I try not to give people any more reason to key my chit.

Nice looking TT. I like the wheels (Forgeline F14 I guess ??). And the tiptronic is a good choice, especially if you live in the city. Automatics transmissions are getting trendy these days, so don't worry about it... I would not say no to a PDK 997 or 991 in a few years...
Enjoy the ride, it's an awesome car, and 01 are the best

"grats! I really like the look of the wheels. The color definitely works without making it ghettofied. x50?
