I would change the engine oil and brake fluid. If you can't confirm that the Plugs and coils were done at that time, I would consider those as well.
As far as a tune goes, I only have experience with Kevin's tune from Ultimate Motorwerks. The tune is pretty amazing and Kevin is a great guy that is very hands on.
I'm also from Long Island, so if you wanted to ride in my car to see how the tune is, I would be happy to give you a ride. My car is stock otherwise. I can't believe the difference that it makes on my car (it's a Tiptronic so the feeling may be slightly different).
Good luck with your new ride!

Yeah the UMW tune is unmatched in value/results. Got mine one month ago. You will come to know Kevin....he's so good you almost don't have a choice IMO

Welcome, good find, I like your sports seats.

Change your oil and filter. Fuel dilution and condensation will occur in time, caustic acids can form as a result and damage engine components. I see this a lot with motorcycles in my business where they sit for long periods without being run.

Good luck, enjoy.

Congrats on the new car - ejoy it! I've been driving my '04 for 7+ years now; just turned 40,000 miles. It's still the best car I've ever owned!

got all fluids replaced, along with spark plugs, coolant tank and cap, and belt. What a difference that made. Thanks for all the advice.

Thumbs up

Exact same year and same mileage as mine,, both cabrios.
As every one have suggested all the fluid change is priority IMHO. Then the usual tires, hydraulic pumps and fluid level check,, might even replace the soft top and rear wing fluids. Fan belts,, check the plugs ,, coils etc.
I gave up on a hard top,, going rate here is USD 3,000 and hard to find.
Good luck with the car,, she looks great.
