Default 996tt/997 upgraded brakes . Pads Opinion much appreciated

Hey guys I'm replacing my rotors and I'm current running Pagid yellows since I bought my car 1 year ago.
I have a brand new pair of oem pads and I'm planing to install them with my set of rotors , I do track once a month
Would it be fine ? Anybody with oem brake pads experiences on track /street
Thx.
Raphael .

Most people can't stand the yellows on the street. The OEM pads are fine for both but they will wear down quicker at the track and they have less bite. When I use the pagids I get a few days on the street before they start squealing again. Some people change pads for tracks days and then change them back out again when the start squealing on the street again. They are pretty easy to change I am a bit lazy to do that every month.

Textar has been an OEM for Porsche for ages...however, AFAIK, TRW has been OEM for most chassis(suspension + brake) bits 996+

Anybody ever run cool carbon? There are a lot of choices out there, surely opinions as well. I'm looking for pads that would be suitable for mostly street and some track, say 80:20.

I tried Cool Carbon about 4 years ago. They were average at best on the street and basically disintegrated within two days at the track. Completely chunked away. Worst pads I have ever run. 80:20 street:track, go with Endless MX72 or stick with OEM.. There is nothing wrong with the OEM pad.

I also need rear rotors and pads, I'm probably going for the OEM ones as they have performed pretty well for my needs.

Cool Carbon were huge in the 90s then basically went away until maybe 3 years ago. Cool Carbon basically doesn't exist as a brake company. They are just a marketing company. The Cool Carbon brakes
Are being manufactured by Kerr Friction Products aka KFP in Canton, Oh.
Be careful although the price may be right they are not a true track pad but maybe a decent "crossover" pad.

what rotors are you going with? i will stay with the oem pads. wondering if should also stick with oem rotors. are the sebros a good choice? the giro's are more expensive, and i'm not sure i'd see any value with "better" rotors.

which way you leaning on this? i have about 35/40% left on the rear pads so my decision approaches rapidly lol

edit: ( your post just answered my question ... oem doh!
