Default EPL tune, any users?

My buddy who convinced me to get this car has a shop that specializes in 996s. He has a very modified 996tt that pushes about 650hp. Makes me nauseous when he floors it. Anyway, he did my recent maintenance for a bargain and he is talking me into the EPL tune (euro performance labs). He said he has done dozens of these with no issues running 1 bar. Anybody with experience on this tune?

Have EPL 91oct track tune +72lb injectors + 1bar w.g, very happy. Tony is a great guy and knows his stuff very well, spent lots of time with me adjusting it to how I wanted it---also great 'out of the box'. 1 year + 13k km's on it so far, 0C to 40C it runs flawlessly...
Laptop + free supplied flashing cable=infinite 'tweaks' possible...
Had older GIAC tune prior.

I have had EPLs tune for over 6 months. Tony was great to deal with, and offered all the help I needed to get the tune loaded in my garage using my laptop. No issues whatsoever with the tune or car. Amazing what it does to the HP/TQ. Thanks again Tony.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback! I was considering doing it myself, but the shop I go to adjusts the waste gates and does a boost leak check etc while tuning. Seems worth it.

For a simple tune you shouldn't need any adjusting of the wastegates. I'd definitely go with an EPL tune. Tony's tune will transform your car...I love mine!!!

Very happy with my EPL K16 flash at 1bar. Really wakes up the car, and has not sacrificed any reliability. Going on 3 years now?

My car had an EPL file on it when I bought it, no complaints other than it had a weird throttle tip in that drove me crazy on corner exits at it would go from nothing to full tilt bogie with almost no available modulation. I made the switch over to UMW which solved this and a little more suited for a track tune.

Having met Tony many times, he is pretty chill.

Did you try a throttle-body calibration while the EPL tune was on it?
Or if you're referring to the power 'surge', most tuners call that a 'street' setup ...'track' tunes aren't as exciting for 'joyrides' but much nicer to deal with

Awesome, thanks for all the feedback! I've heard some bad stories about tunes and this solidifies my decision. Thanks again.

EPL tune here... couldn't be happier.

Very smooth power delivery and completely transformed the car.

Tony has been around for a while and has always taken the time to answer my questions & assist in planning my build.

I have just about the same exact setup except I have billet K16s. EPL got it figured out. Don't hesitate, it will transform your driving experience.

Great! I prob should have searched first, but all I see is UMW reviews. I would go with them if my local guy was a vendor. Glad to know this tune is good too.

EPL 91 Oct. tune for 4 years now....no issues, just fun. I have the Speedtech 3.0 with it as well. Flawless, even here in CA.
