ok man, sorry, not really feeling up to arguing the semantics of "it". i guess at the rear and under the car everything is "near". i sat there.., alternately lying on the ground with a flashlight while my buddy replaced them. neither the i/c's heatshields OR bumpers were in the way. i was more in the way than any of those items. but whatever,.. you need help for whatever reasons. i'm not saying i could do it "myself" either so maybe that just makes two of us

whatever, i have new 02's installed for an hour of hanging under and around my car and 75 bucks.. and a few beers

you dont need to remove ANYthing except the old 02's LOL

I've played with enough Porsche/turbo exhausts, O2's get quickly baked-in and like to give a fight and leave their mark lol...I chase all o2's threads now regardless of how nice the sensors feel coming out
A LOT easier to do with exhaust completely off, bumper/intercooler remove/install is probably a hour total and complete access

thats why when my bud and i talked about it we first thought of taking exhaust off, for more room etc. jcked the car, was enough. but they absolutely do get "baked" in/on though, and that white residue from the old ones at the nipple? is what exactly??

No, I do not. I did have to use a tool like that once on another car, but got away with a wobble extension and a regular crow's foot wrench. It would have been a lot easier with the ones pictured, but I'm sure those are $$$. Just looked it up, and a set of those is £96 before international shipping, ouch.
