wow jimbo.. this is why i never messed with the coils and still have the gt3 coilovers on a shelf lol. i feel for ya bro.

Which springs are you referring to, H&R Sports? I'm thinking about Bilstein B8 but not sure what to pair them with for an 1" drop. Coilovers are an overkill for my application. I had coilovers in previous cars, they are great, but not necessary for daily driving. I prefer a good shock/spring combo.

I am curious, no one seems to mention Ohlins Road & Track setup. I had heard great things about its ride on Reenlist and other places. Was it not discussed here because of cost? Just curious.
You got it, price was a major factor plus limited service choices for rebuilds here in oz. But in the end the budget blew out with the PSS10's along with adjustable drop links, top mounts, bearing plates and installation costs.

The H & R SS were very appealing but was worried about the very low rear clearance height.

yes, the red H&R sports will pair perfectly with the MO 30's or the bilstein b8's. they are very close in design and function, and the springs will work perfectly. plan on a 1.5 drop with MO30's though, and I'd assume the b8 would be similar. but I actually cut my mo 30 springs originally to achieve a greater drop closer to a 50mm drop.

I'm only aware of h&r springs, but are there any other one's out there for the 996? Funny, I don't even own a 996tt yet but already planning out the mods for when I get the one I'm looking for....

Custom Tarrett DL's arrived today and fitted today :-) . Had to do a small mod, see pics. No more binding, yippee.
996TT with the AWD really need these bent links, the straight ones do not work, believe me I've tried every angle, spacers and length. The PSS10 ones do not work with the Eibach sways either, they were over stretched and badly split on the rubber dust cover.
Ira at Tarrett was amazing to deal with and can not thank him enough for his excellent service.

Car now has exceeded my expectations, handles amazingly and very happy with my set up.

Recently installed.
PSS10 coil overs Euro spec.
Tarrett LCA solid bushings
Tarrett rear drop links
Custom curved front DL's
Eibach sways front & rear
GT3 brake calipers w/Pagid yellow pads.
997T rotors
New rear axles/ CV's
Rebuilt gear box.
Drive shaft donut (sorry dont know correct name)

Previously installed
Kline 200cel exhaust
UMW flash tune
TS Semi Solid engine mounts
F1st Poly insert
997 gear box mount & short shift.

40mm drop is probably optimal.

again, congrats jim on all the stuff! and well chosen bits!
