Probably need to check connections on your sender or replace.

It might be unrelated, unless you didn't reinstall all the components and it's now open full time at which point it's dumping oil back. I would think however if this was the case, the pressure downstream would be low and you'd get a low oil pressure light. Regardless, I would recheck the installation to make sure all the components are in place and in the exact sequence shown.. If unsure have your mechanic put it on a rack and do a quick check. Then rather than guess, have the codes pulled and see what's tripping the CEL.
