Default Factory Nav question

Is it difficult to set up a factory navigation unit in a 996 turbo that does not have navigation? What will I need?

You would be better off getting a more modern set up and having it installed, if done correctly looks stock. You will get some better info from those that have done it.

I hate my 01 factory navigation, you will need cds for different regions of usa for it to work. If I wanted to drive from Florida to Maine I would need at least two cds and find a address at the outer limits of both cds so I can change cds. Get a newer set up

^^^ Just what paoylin1 said. I'd get a new set-up if was starting over. I don't use my nav much, so I just let it be.

Yes, get a garmin. Had a nav in my 996tt, never worked properly and was dated. More of a novelty than anything else.

Agree the old units are old tech, and nothing compared to current units. I have seen in dash din matchups..
