btw its not the panel you need but the fan is what you want. next to the fan (pass side) is the snorkel for the airbag which you no longer have
Have you gone through auto car washes? That's my main concern - rain, the car is moving - but in a car wash, water will pour in...

Thanks,
Erik

i don't do car washes bit hand wash and i have a pressure washer. theres always water coming during inclement weather . it hasn't affected my car at all. theres an engine back there, its waterproof

now cooling your engine down after shutdown thats another matter entirely. thats what the fan is for.

I just wanted to update this thread in case others had the same problem. I had a specialist fabricate panels that allowed water to drip out and ventilation for the engine...here is what it looked like.

Took 2 weeks and cost $668.75. Looks very clean IMO.

Thanks,
Erik

Where does the engine cooling air enter now?

The top of the panel is not sealed - air flows in. It just directs the water down.

Thanks,
Erik

Not sure about the airflow but it looks like a very neat install.

hmmm...so how does your car cool down after you stop? Since there is no fan, you will have to rely on radiation alone. I would make sure you always sit with the car running for 60-90 seconds before shutting down (turbo cool down). Also keep an eye on any plastic/rubber components as they will likely deteriorate at an accelerated rate...LOL
