Loud--i had some Race Precision pipes on my last turbo, and it was wayyyyyyyy too loud. A bypass would be louder I'd think. It was really painful to drive, depute how cool it was when you heard it from the outside..Make sure you are comfortable with that.

bypass and straight pipes is two different levels of sound but I do agree straight pipes in most cases are LOUD specially if you leave in the am. It is very subjective obviously.

I have a set of muffler delete straight pipes...in my garage. The drone is terrible! The turbos sound awesome with them, but it is unlivable to drive around like that.

As a comparison, here's videos of cold start on my car with my Milltek system(wonderful piece) vs the catted straight-pipes

We have a full 3" X-Pipe with no mufflers, which sounds fantastic. Sort of a hybrid muffler bypass system...
