haha, I have a couple washers that are visible from the front too that will be getting some flat black this winter when I pull the bumper to clean out the front.

Let me know if you want to toss them in with mine when I have them black oxide coated, batch is $50 to have done and covers up to a 5 gal bucket of parts, just has to be the same material.

Going to give her a good wash this weekend and start getting everything ready for winter, which should give me some time to pull the motor and do Kevin's GT2 slave and weld up the coolant pipes. Anyone used one of the Harbor Freight 800lb lift tables for dropping the drivetrain?

Their Orange table works fine, I believe that is the 800# one.

Let me know if you need current part numbers for anything rubber or plastic while you have the engine out.
I replaced almost all the water/oil/air/vacuum hosers and zip tied them while mine was out last winter.

Thanks Mark, that would be great! While your in there right?! Just waiting on the truck to get back from the shop and I will go hunt down that Harbor Freight table for the engine drop.

Did a little work last night and finished up the design on a new cable end to replace the plastic ends. While the Cup Car stuff is perfectly fine, making things myself is always the most rewarding.

You'd better plan on removing the console so that jewelry can be seen!

Great idea

No new updates other than the roads are freshly salted from a small snow storm the other day. Oh and the daily broke a timing belt tensioner bolt and took out the head

New motor time for this thing...So as of pulling the 996's motor to weld the cooling fittings....delays, delays, delays.

Sunday's weather was so nice that I figured that one last drive with the 911 was needed. One of the shots that got nabbed after a quick stop by a friends little BBQ Sunday meet in central CT. Sucks with snow incoming Sunday, going to be a long winter

Car looks beautiful. The Toth parts come together nicely, not to mention the fact that they do what they are supposed to. Very sharp!

So had a little issue a couple weeks ago when one of the tips worked its way off on some spirited driving early morning in VT on a road trip day.

With a long drive up to NH to drop off a friend to pick up his truck, I needed to come up with something quick and dirty to prevent the bumper from getting too hot.

So I stopped by U-928's shop and made up this quick 90 bend in a couple minutes to get back on the road. Roadkill style!

Part way up to NH I stopped for some fuel and a coffee to come out and find a fellow on his Harley parked on the rear part of the car really close, he seemed very interested in the car. As I walked up and commented on how nice of a day it was, he asked "So what you have going on here?" making a nod towards the exhaust. After explaining the short story of losing the tip and 90 bend that it was attached to, then explaining the part of the x-pipe was directed right at the bumper that I had to come up with something quick from left over exhaust stuff at a friends shop. He smiled and raised his hand in a fist for a fist bump and said "I like your style!" and so we parted ways.

Last weekend got a chance to put on the slash tips from John, was not sure about them at first, but they do look good!

After getting the tips on, I found some carnage in the motor of my street Audi TT...was hoping for just a few bent valves from the timing belt tensioner bolt failure. Looks like #3 cylinder has a couple broken valves
