I agree, but I think winter is a good time to do it. It is a new car for us and I'm not sure how well everything else has been taken care of so it will be good to check all the lines and hoses, plus check the clutch. They said that they put a new clutch in it a little while ago, but it seems to engage when the pedal is really far out...almost all the way. Doesn't seem to slip at all but who really knows.

How easy is spark plug replacement without pulling the engine? If I can do it without paying them to do it I would prefer that.

It's definitely not that difficult to replace the spark plugs without removing the engine. Some say they can do it without removing the rear bumper cover and intercoolers even.

The plugs have been changed in my 2003 Turbo now 3 times and the engine has not once had to come out.

The tech removes the rear bumper cover, the rear wheels, and the intercoolers.

I can't recall the cost as I have always had this work done at the same time other work was being done but I do not recall it being that expensive.

Be aware if the engine has misfired at any time -- like after sitting out in the rain or upon being started up after a wash (or at any other time) -- you should replace the coils at the same time.

Plugs and coils is an easy job - just takes some time due to the removal of the bumper and IC's.
