Bad day in Kansas
So I blew a coolant hose or waterpump on the freeway heading back home to Chicago. Water comes ou back of engine center. Won't hold coolant spills right to the ground. Getting a tow to the dealer in Wichita, Kansas. Any ideas what is dead center back? Happened during a turbo boost. Ugh.

A large blow out like that is almost always a hose. If you are really unlucky it might be a coolant pipe that let loose, but let's not go there yet.

I think I was suspected of being a "Porsche Secret Shopper" cause I was asked if I was. I said I was not but I should have said I can't answer that...
Anyhow, give a Sargent Major's walk around the dealer and greet everyone and note everyone's name. Write the names down in a small wire bound notebook.
I think you be treated very well there.
Oh, my Boxster was repaired and I was on my way west and had no problems at all.

Happened to me. It was the coolant hose coming out of the pump. Luckily it happened in my driveway. I replaced both hoses and flushed the coolant. The hoses from ECS tuning were approximately $30 each. Obviously for you this maybe difficult for you to repair yourself.
Good luck

I hope that it's not the top center coolant fitting failure. If it's on top center, there are four fittings than can come undone.

They require a engine drop to fix them. Do a search on welding or pinning the coolant fittings. It's a $3200 to $3800 job. Hope that Santa was nice and that it's just a coolant hose connection or split hose.

while it sounds scary, I had this problem earlier in the year. In my case it was a hose that blew off mid boost. I did have it replaced with new at the Porsche dealer, but it was inexpensive. Fingers crossed for you.
