Best ECU Flash?

Nordschleife Master
At that point I'd probably go with UMW at that point.

EPL has 2-step

Is there tuning software you can simply purchase to tune the car yourself? Ive a good bit of experience in tuning and would rather spend that $1k in software to be able to do it myself but I havent found anything of the sort with google searches

+1 UMW.
I've had Kevin's tune for 7 years now and its been a work of art. No gambling involved with his tune. I've seen other posts about guys switching various tunes for this reason or that, I've yet to see one about switching out of an UMW tune.

Without a doubt, Kevin at UMW. I had a previous flash (another well-known name) that was unimpressive. Then I found UMW. Huge difference.
Kevin gets 4 stars in every category: Responsiveness, availability, excellence of the work, quality of advice, product that keeps working extremely well. He knows these cars inside and out, and is "the Man" for any problem.
He is a no bull**** guy, and he always delivers. I have a variety of 500+ hp cars, and my 02 tt never ceases to amaze me. You will never regret using his products. His flash is the best money you can spend on our cars. AS

i have had a gaic tune,( less than impressive but good customer service) epl tune,(average customer service conservative tunes no mafless) and I'm now standalone proefi. (best there is and a i have a great tuner. for stock computer and great customer service and decades of experience its going to be hard to beat protomotive. not cheap but well worth it.
if you want to venture into the world of standalone computers proefi and garth at undercover tuning is a combo that beats everything in its path

I have Eurodyne Maestro, $1500
Epic piece of kit. I have tuned and retuned my car 6 times... the last 3 were pro-tunes by Tim941NYC of the 235 mph one mile fame.
I have done
1. Basic retune of a GIAC tune added 30 bhp
2. Tune for race gas
3. Added 1000 ID injectors and wallbro FP - retune added 50 bhp
4. MAFLESS - retune added quicker spool
5. E85 - retune added about 70 bhp
6. 2 step LC and no lift shift etc
7. Added ETS Intercoolers
My car is a FBO Turbo S (2005) and does 6.5 s 60-130 mph on E85, 7.0x on 93 octane. With better tires it may go a bit quicker but with the Eurodyne I also log and can tweak the tune using a floating function in the maestro program... really cool stuff. My car is still on stock K24 turbos (about to upgrade). I have logged and vboxed every level of mods I have done to prove to myself what each mod adds. The Eurodyne cars I have seen seem to do some very quick times per the mods and hence give value for money IMHO.
The great thing about Eurodyne is the software, the bad thing is the customer service from them leaves a lot to be desired but Tim941NYC (Tim Siatchitano in Plainview NY at Callahan Motorworks) is an official dealer. (516) 586-5550 Tim's phone and other http://instagram.com/tim941nyc

The GT2 of Chris Green (USP Motor) was E85 tuned using Eurodyne and on K24/18s he did 5.18 s 60-130 mph, that was on the stock ECU
Here everyone raves about Kevin UMW
