Annoying door rattle/vibration...FIXED
One thing I hate is rattling noises when driving. If something sounds loose it bugs the crap out of me. I have only had my car for 3 days and I was getting a small vibrating rattle from the driver door even over light bumps. Pulled off the door panel and found the cause which was the same on the passenger side as well. In the center of the door behind the inner door membrane seal there was a loose screw that had backed out of a quick clip on each side and was hanging in the clip. Neither door appeared to have ever been removed so these 2 screws must have just backed out over time. It is located a couple of inches below the front of the airbag as pictured. I decided to just puncture the membrane and tighten the screw. I did not remove the menbrane so I am not sure what the screw is for??? I would assume something in the window mechanism. Took it for a drive and all is quiet....

Is your car by chance a 2001?
I had the same loose screws in my 2001 car and I heard a similar rattle on other 01 cars I had looked at when shopping for mine. It must have been a SNAFU on the assembly line. The loose screws on my car secured the speaker box in place.

In the picture in post #1. It is the black screw in the center of the picture. It was easier to tear a small hole in the membrane to access it instead of peeling back the membrane. Both were still attached to the quick clip and hanging so both the screw and clip could vibrate around and make noise. A couple of turns with a phillips head screwdriver and all is tight and quiet.

Oh got it. Found a screw in the car, and am wondering where it goes!

time for me to look too. I have a rattle on the drivers side door, 2001 model. I too hate the noise but have put up with it. As it is winter down time, no is as good a time as any. Any awkward tabs and screws to deal with taking the door card off?

Panel removal is pretty straightforward. just follow this video. The hardes part is removing the little airbag "button" on the panel. Need to really get a trim wedge in there and pop it out.
