Default This wing is for the birds!!

So I went ahead and tried to fix the spoiler by following some instructions provided by another member on here. I got to the point where I was to drain the pump by pressing the spoiler button. However, this did nothing. I had the ignition key on and press the button and nothing. I checked the fuse and it was fine.

Any ideas out there how to further diagnose the problem? I'm thinking now I should my voltmeter and check the motor...

Sure, unhook the leads to the motor, remove the shield first. Use a battery charger to run the pump, does anything happen? Switching the leads runs the pump in opposite direction.
Notoriously troublesome.
