Default School me on twists please

As much as I like my 997TT wheels I think I might find a set of stock twists.

I'm seeing different types and sizes out there.

Can someone please tell me what to look for?

Only the TT ones are hollow?

Thanks
Rod

I believe some early TT's came in solid spoke, as did all C4S's. Most TT's had the lighter hollow spokes. You can see the difference on the back side of the wheel. The hollow spokes are smooth on the back, solids are not.

Sizes should be 18x8 ET50 and 18x11 ET45.

Then there were the GT2 wheels, 18x8.5 and 18x12. They fit more flush with the fenders. They were not hollow spoke.

FWIW, I have a set of hollow spokes for sale here:

Hey Rod,
^good info there from cburke996, will add GT2 wheels offsets 18x8.5 (ET40) 18x12(et45).

I have my GT2 wheels for sale if you're interested in something a bit wider and local to you... https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...-and-12-a.html
Cheers,
Rob

Well that brought out the sellers. lol

Car has been lowered if that makes a difference with the wider GT2 wheels.
(I am interested Rob)

So which is the lighter wheel? TT or GT2?

Are my 997 Turbo wheels worth the same?

lol, what's a seller to do
should fit fine, depending on ride height/alignment GT2 rear inner fender brackets might be required(~$150 for the pair)...one nice thing about 'GT2' sizes is the flush fit without spacers.
TT is lighter, GT2 is wider.
Haven't followed 997 wheel prices, but would imagine its the same ballpark $

if I wasn't going for 18" track wheels, I'd be asking for pics
997 wheels are probably a fairly easy sell, 19" appeals to lots of guys looking for bling-points

GT2 wheels look fantastic on the turbo. That's my choice and what I have.

They aren't exactly light.

The part that bothers me in getting rid of my wheels is they are mint.
How many wheels does one man need tho?
