you will NOT be sorry. OEM baby.. oh yeah... did i mention? only 1300 bucks but you need some h&r springs
I've been considering the HDs with new OEM tops...I think there are two versions, one has a slightly longer stroke and is meant for lowering springs.

well the MO 30s are custom made to fit race or sport springs. they are just dampers/shocks essentially.

KW V1 - I have no experience with these, however from internet research I am concerned they might be too soft. (This is also the reason I do not have PSS9/10 on my list). I do like the fact they have a good rep and have a lift time warranty. I would really like the V3's adjust-ability but those are not in my budget. Anyone here unhappy with V1's because they are too soft or maybe other reasons?...

USED - If a great deal on some used fully adjustable name brand ones come up for sale before I buy any I would probably get those instead as long as they are rebuild-able and in my price range.

Anything else I should be considering? Any other thoughts?
I will have a set of KW V3's up for sale shortly.

PM me if interested.

p556, i'm sorry i misspoke when i said "custom", as they are not at all, they are porsches answer to a sport shock setup which is presumably somewhere in between their 996 gt3 setup and their "sport shock" which have been used primarily for years in earlier interations of 911's, and the x73 is of course the factory "sport suspension" made specifically for the 96t. i'm not too sure you asked or even car about any of this, lol.. but i thought i'd clarify this for the purpose of clarity.

i'm actually surprised they're even both available still for the 996 and i assume thats because the x73 has more suspension "parts" in the setup. their MO 30's are like i said, just shocks basically. but they're bilstein and tough as nails i've put mine to the test!

Bilstein offers a few replacement shock options...
- B6 HD
- B8 Sport

The sport is meant to be run with a lowering spring. Looks to me like the LindseyRacing link is the B6?

Did you go with the HD or Sport?

I've been told they are both very stiff and don't make for the best ride...

best is subjective, my car is stiff and precise. sport mo30's with sport H&r springs dropped 1.5 inches.

I have H&R springs on stock struts (which are probably worn-out at 50k miles)...I like the ride unless I go over washboard asphalt or potholes/dips. Any idea how the different Bilstein options compare to stock struts keeping the spring equal? I'm leaning towards the B8 Sport model.

wont be any different "feeling" i would imagine since youre on presumably worn out oem stuff. remember, bilstein IS oem. thats why they seem made for the car. to me at least.
