Default 2005 996 TurboS Manual

Dear Friends,

I have been offered a beautiful 2005 TurboS Manual car...I have been collecting Ferrari's (don't shoot me) for some time and turned by attention to Porsches a couple of years ago. I have a 1989 930 Turbo Cab, a 993 4S, a 1989 3.2 Carerra Cab, and a 993 C2 Cab.

I love the 996 TurboS but it is expensive and wanted to solicit this forums advice on the car.

Many thanks in advance

What's not to like. The S is one of the most desired 996's out there. That's why they resale at the best prices.

That's the best year and model for the 996tt, very few coupes were sold that year. What options and how many miles.

Not many S's were made and
996tts is one of the last metzger's and will probably go higher in future.

I paid $60k for an immaculate 2005 with 27k miles earlier this year with some carbon fibre bits, nice wheels and exhaust... nice car, raw and still almost analog

Drive it... you'll love it... its a visceral experience much like the P models you already have.... just a bit more refined, and much faster and grippier.

And... it really does seem that prices have flattened. If its a 996ttS coupe, its a no brainer.

A Ferrari collector thinks the 996 Turbo S is expensive?

Oooookay.

Sounds like a nice collection. You won't be sorry with the S. I'm thinking about getting a Ferrari. Nice 360 Modena parked next to or above the 996TT would be a dream.

Based on his list of cars it is likely this will be the cheapest one in his collection. I've never, ever heard of an F-car guy thinking that Porsches are expensive.
