Question Spoiler fix?

Have a 02 turbo with the stock raising spoiler and the drivers side cylinder seems to be leaking. Any idea on how to fix or where to get a replacement? dealer wants over 1k to fix.

Thanks,

Ryan

1st thing to do is to educate yourself by reading up on the many! threads here and on 6spd then narrow down specific questions you may have.

but quickly, you may just have a loose banjo bolt at the bottom of the leaking ram and if you can get proper help a spoiler re-bleed of the system might solve your issue, which it more than likely is.

but begin by reading up on it. it's a 10 yr old issue!

I have two units in perfect condition if you're in need for much less than 1k. I've heard some dealers charge up to 2k. The pump takes 30 min to replace. I'm asking $600 and I'll ship for free.

These guys are a bit cheaper ... http://www.tophydraulicsinc.com/en/8-porsche but I think either one does a quality rebuild.

there is a complete rear spoiler FS on the parts area of the forum. the guy is asking $600 for a working kit. Might be worth a look (no association)

These wing hydraulics are a nightmare. Very poor design, that I'd bet a beer and brat were farmed out to some other design house in Stuttgart, or a first year engineer at Porsche designed.
