gt2 wheels liners?
Do GT2 front wheel liners give more clearance on a tt? I think I read the back ones do but I need to replace my front ones and was wondering if I should get stock or gt2?

from what I've seen, GT2 adds more clearance up front, different venting design as well...

The fronts offer more clearance, but only work if you have the ducting for the GT2. The rears are more expensive, but when they show up at your door they have the same part number on them as the regular 996tt. I wonder how I discovered that...
Oh and since they are special order, you can't return them. Fronts good with ducting, rears, don't bother.

I have both the front and rear GT2 liners. The GT2 attachment bracket in the rear is what gives you the extra 1/2" or so of clearance. The rear GT2 liner is the TT liner with an extra hole drilled in the side of it. Fronts don't give you any more clearance over the TT ones but they are lighter and divert the air behind the tire instead of ahead of it. Unless you have the rest of the aero, they are pointless.

could swear the GT2 liners are more contoured for tire clearance near the trailing edge of front bumper/radiator area vs TT liners...I'll try to measure my neighbours TT vs my GT2 next time I work on it to confirm either way!

If anything, it's negligible Rob. The radiator bracket hump is the constraint. The GT2 liners are made out of a slightly thinner material so they may give you 1 or 2 mm.

Interesting. I know I gained at least a bit as I used to get rubbing on the std turbo liners up front but not with the GT2 liners.
Which bracket is different on the GT2 in the rear? The inside rear?

The inside rear GT2 bracket is much shorter than the TT bracket that attaches to the liner at the base by the IC hose. The GT2 bracket attaches midway up the side of the liner..
