Daily driver
Just out of curiosity, who daily drives their 996TT? If not, what is your daily driver?
I'll start, I just got my 996TT but have no plans to DD it. My DD is (don't laugh at me) a 2006 Honda Accord four banger. Sometimes I'll drive my F250 to work, but that's mainly for towing my bike trailer to Chuckwalla.
What about everyone else?

Rotate daily driver duty between my Jeep Cherokee, Turbo and occasionally the 356.

I largely use mine as a driving-season daily driver, except for very short(cold engine) trips or when going to places where you don't want to leave it, for that I use my winter/parking-lot beater (currently an old 5-series)...this year, just over 9k since April.

Daily driver here on good weather days, which in S. Cali is probably 95% of the days. Bad weather days calls on the Land Cruiser tank.
The turbo even serves daily drop off duties for my 4 yr old daughter and will serve double duty once my son turns 18mths in Jan and can attend pre-school.
Perfect family mans sports car without compromise. If it didn't have those back seats, I'd never get to drive it because the 'weekend car' in my case is my wife's RAV4EV to haul the whole family around. Nice that her car is my personal carbon offset program since I like to burn dinosaurs.

I alternate DD duties between the TT and 335D. Both have gobs of torque, both have laser diffusers and radar detectors, both have snow tires. Choice of the day is determined by mood and which one has a full tank.

tires! our cars achilles heel(s) lol. i don't know what you run but if you run michi's? i just switched my fronts from ps2 to PSS 235/40 with the 315/30 ps2's rear and they are perfect. i am also rwd so that eliminates all that rolling diameter insanity

^haha, currently on Yohohama Advan Sports(got a great deal), surprising sticky tire for the street but a bit soft in sidewall/tread support, was on Falken RT615K before which wore way nicer(read: even) and had proper feedback/support through the carcass, not the best tire for street use as you needed to build heat in them to get similar grip of the Yokohama's...
Would love to give the Michelin PS2's a go as I've had them on other cars, but hard to justify $600 a rear tire...considering my current tires barely made 4k miles/6k km with only hard street mileage is painful lol
Running factory GT2 235/40-18, 315/30-18 sizes ATM
I actually just listed my OE GT2 8.5"x18", 12"x18" wheels for sale, will probably go with a set of OZ and BFG Rivals, from Tirerack, to replace...245/30-18, 315/30-18
Oh, and this winter's project is full suspension, monoballs/heim-joints should help any 'active' toe-related wear too
