Default PCCB question/Specs

I'm looking at an 2005 TTs with PCCB's and they are coming in at 34mm at 95k miles. The owner has previous records that state at 45k miles it was at 34.7mm.
Did anyone ever measure their gen 2 rotors when they were brand new or almost new? Is Porsche giving us an extra mm? This is driving me crazy.
I know brand new spec is 34mm front and 28mm rear.
This car is coming in at above that even at 95k miles.

My 2nd hand info is the 34mm number is correct. As for the 34.7mm number this I suspect is a measurement error, someone misreading the micrometer or even a dial caliper, or even more likely a typo or transcription error on someone's part that entered this data initially.

The 34.7 came via Porsche tech at a very reputable dealer. No one has a set almost new that can measure?

Right out of the Porsche 996TT maintenance manual:

Front PCCB rotor thickness: 34mm new, 33.5mm min thickness
Rear PCCB rotor thickness: 28mm new, 27.5mm min thickness

Dan you ask why measure well because the car is on its 3rd owner and has almost 100k miles so you measure to see if they took care of the car and maintained the pads and rotors properly.
John I am well aware of what the spec is but the rotors are coming in at 34.15 and 28.2 as of right now with the car having almost 100k miles on it, had 3 places measure them and they all came back very close of one another. I'm curious if the 34.7mm reading was done via non calibrated caliper, trying to see if Porsche is really that generous and they come new at 34.7 or 35mm. My head can't get around the fact that at 50k miles the car was at 34.7 and now at 96k its at 34.1 so either this owner can't maintain them or the previous owner got a generous reading. Regardless as I stated I am trying to kill my curiousity because looks like this car will be a dud anyways.

PCCB rotors have weight stamped on them which I have heard is a better indication of the wear and tear. So go weight them and see what that tells you.

BTW, I have a very low mileage 997.1 TT PCCB front rotors in mint condition that I can part with, should you or any other member wants them.

surface texture and weight are the best indicators IMO...my old PCCB's also measured above the factory spec(have talked with blockhed about them).. I used a fairly high-end Mitutoyo caliper measuring various spots trying to get the smallest readings(rather under-sell, over-deliver on a sale)

I was more or less trying to satisfy my curiousity since the car and the seller turned out to be a fail.
BTW if anyone sees a 2005 TTs out of Cleveland Ohio in S.Grey with 96k miles, run the other way.

Interesting. I would have bet money, not much money so don't get your hopes up, that the reading was just a bad reading, not real.

Have I wonder then if the rotors are machined until they hit a target weight and if this results in a slightly thicker rotor (because the rotor material is lighter due to natural manufacturing differences)?
