Default The good, the bad, and the ugly

The Good

I'm taking advantage of having the engine out the car to upgrade the clutch to the 964RS LWFW/764PP/GT3RS 4.0l disc set-up...

And replacing the stock transmission mount with the stiffer 997 version...

A few weeks ago I was fortunate enough to acquire a brand new old stock X73 suspension kit (motor mounts and all)....

The Bad

The reason I have the engine out is to repair the faulty coolant fitting that gave way...

I chose to go the welded route for the coolant fitting repair...

The Ugly

Rather than pay for a rental car to sit in my driveway, I've decided to use the local public transportation for my minor travel needs...

Good times....good times....

Let's just say, I can't wait to get my car back.

Thanks! I had long since given up on finding this kit and couldn't believe it when I spotted the ad.

You're going to like the suspension and the clutch. (I have X73 and 964RS etc clutch). Latter much improves the throttle response.

I used to walk everywhere when I lived in Vegas baby (10 years ago) so don't feel too bad about the trolley car.

My fave Clint movie

At least you're getting close. How long before your back on the road? I have to say, that's some high class public transportation

I'm excited to find out. I plan to report back with my impressions.

I know nothing about welding. I know the shop was proud of the work. Glad you concur.
That Clyde shot is classic! I love when Ruth Gordon cuts loose with the shotgun.

I thought I'd be back on the road weeks ago. Every time I tell myself, "this should be the week"....another week goes by.
My shop (Precision Motorwerks - Greg Brown) is highly meticulous and thorough. I'm letting them take their time. Besides, I'm having too much fun on the trolley.

Nice, when all together check the welds for leaks, I am sure they will be okay, but have heard that some welds had slow leaks due to some voids in the weld and base aluminum.. One other thing you may want to also use these on that transmission mount

you scored Dude

once the pipes separate, you have no choice. You have to weld them
Mine were done proactively, and are pinned
you will love the clutch
