bluetooth music solution for becker cdr-220
Good Afternoon,
I wanted to share my music solution in case it could help anyone else. I just picked up the blue beast from Showtime Audio here in Chicago, and they did a great job on the install for $150:

It's not too hard of a job so I am sure others could do it.
I have a 2002 Turbo with a cdr-220 and I picked up on of these:
and this guy:
The guys at the shop had to first fully unplug the cd changer and then follow these directions:
This review is from: Goliton® 3.5mm AUX Input Jack Adapter Cable MP3 iPod for VW 8 Pin (Electronics)
Bought this to use on a CDR-220 on a Porsche. Used the special keys I got at Walmart to take the unit out, plugged the cable in(use cd changer plug in, ref, manual), replaced unit. Turn on the stereo. Press the "TP" button for about ten seconds. Use right **** to navigate menus. Find the "AUX" on off, turn on. Turn stereo off then back on. Hit "S" source button until aux is displayed. Hook up your mp3 player. You will start fresh with the bass, treble, balance, and fader.
Here is a photo. As you can see, they did a great job hiding the aux and power wiring for the kinivo, which is the black disk to the left of the traction control button.
One pointer is that for some reason the fade defaulted to the rear so the sound quality was bad until I fixed that.
It felt great rocking out for the first time in this thing! The music sounds great, and calls work great also (they can hear me well). Also, I'm glad I had some time to learn how to become a decent manual driver before I was able to drown out the sound of the engine stalling and gears crunching.

Oh, also, I think that they put one of these between the becker and the kinivo:
I'm not sure whether it's necessary or not.

Music quality is great, definitely not an issue. I don't think it would be noticeably better plugging the iphone directly into the 3.5 mm cable. Here is the more reviewed version of the kinivo if you want more insights into the sound quality:
One issue that isn't too surprising is that the sticky backing on the disk did not hold to the leather area the guys stuck it on. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fasten a light plastic disk to the leather dash?
