18" Tire Options & Opinions
I'm looking to replace my rear tires with the same Bridgestone S-02 A's that are currently on my car. I also have the stock 18" Turbo wheels. Are there other tires that I should consider? I was leaning towards Michelin Pilot Sport Cups until I found that I'd only get 4k-5k miles out of them (was hoping for closer to 10k).

There was a recent thread on this.
I suggest GT2 size PS2s. Rears may be on backorder currently- but I like these tires for the extra sidewall. Bit more comfort.

Good advice from rmc1148.
Switch make/model when replacing all 4. Avoid running with different tires front and rear.
I thought I saw where some michelin models (PS2?) have a mfg warantee so you may be able to get a prorated $ back if you only get 5k miles vs 10k or so out of rears. I did not check into it deeply enough at the time though.

I actually am in the market for new rears. Think Im just going to keep what is on the car already (PS2's) as the front tires still have a lot of tread left on them.
I just sent an email to Michelin yesterday and asked why they are not creating the Pilot Super Sports in our size for the rear. They make them in 295/30-19 but not 18. I have heard these are amazing tires and are only literally a couple of dollars more expensive for the rears than the PS2's, but with much more grip and even tread wear. Anyone else want these tires? Maybe if we spam Michelin enough they will make a new mold :-)
Can we go with a wider tire (GT2) on the rears with the stock turbo rear wheels?

Great recommendations so far, thanks! I agree with the comments in that I'll change all 4 tires if I go with another type/brand. I really like the NT-01 suggestion and called Discount Tire. They quoted me for the following:
Question: Does anyone think I'll run into rubbing issues? It seems unlikely on the rear given others' success, but I'm not so sure about the front's being ~.5" wider than stock.
- 235/40/18 @ $214/ea.
- 315/30/18 @ $306/ea.
- Stock Front: 9.0"
- Nitto Front: 9.49"
- Stock Rear: 12.3"
- Nitto Rear: 12.6"

those are both choices i would consider if i wasn't convinced that the premium i pay to run michi ps2's wasn't valuably noticed on a daily basis. but if it were a weekend sunny day driver? i'd opt for the advans too. just never hankooks ( unless it were the rs3's ) which won't ever happen in gt2 sizing.
the proper optimal sizing for this platform limits ones options considerably when it comes to tires. but there is surely no *better* tire for the car, than the ps2 in a gt2 fit.
