18" or 19" wheels?
My car came with original 18" turbo twists and a set of 19" HRE wheels that are currently on car. The 19" wheels do look cool but I get the impression that there is just not enough rubber under car. A lot of road noise, etc. The thoughts of others w/b appreciated before springing for new tires for the 18" wheels. Thanks, Gary

or save the 19's for the next person that doesn't know what best suits the car for performance/handling and lower the car properly with new 18's in a gt2 fitment and know you've done the right thing lol

Oh, heeeeeere we go with "what's best..."
Yes, OP, please go spend a ton of money lowering the "properly" because, evidently, Porsche didn't know "what's best" for the car, either. And while you're at it, get GT2 fitment tires for your turbo also, because Porsche screwed the pooch on that one, too.
19s are just fine for every day shenanigans. If you're going to race your car, then consider 18s and a whole bunch of other things - but I'm assuming you're not or you probably would have said so (and not have needed to ask).

"ton of money"!? wtf does that mean? you know what they say about assumptions lol. "if you're going to race your car!?" c'mon, really!? the 18's are stock! duh... so not a race setup..hmm, what should that tell us? IF the 19's "look ( ahem ) "better"?!
porsche lowered the gt2 as well as their x73 suspension ride height for reason(s) and it presumably wasn't for looks alone. so you figure it out, as it doesn't seem you have. lol. but you still have time
guy like you lowering probably wouldn't matter try 20's lol

U.S. Porsches required higher bumper heights (blame the D.O.T.). The RoW Porsches were all lower. So "lower" would be in line how Porsche originally designed the car. For those people who own RoW Turbos, and wanted even better handling, Porsche designed their best suspension as an option for them...X73.
If someone wants a Turbo configured like Porsche intended the base car to be configured, they'd have RoW suspension and 18" wheels.

porsche didn't have this debate openly lol. so there is no "wooheee here we go again" about it!

C'mon man, no need to be foul. 19s really are fine for every day.

they're not optimal for the car!.... but they'll work 18's are best tho.. hands down and no argument. cheers.

I'm with you though. If my car came wearing 18"s, I'd probably have kept them. But 19"s do the trick for what I do and the road feel I prefer. OP should be able to have the same, whichever it is.

I'm pretty sure that there is nothing wrong with a 19" tire/ wheel combination that weighs less than the OEM 18" combo. It just costs a few $ more. Forged 9.5x19 an 12x19 with 245/35x19 and 295/30x19 on mine. It is not prone to under steer nearly as much as with the original 18's. My car is properly lowered and corner balanced. It went around Circuit of the Americas at 2:38, and I'm old and slow.
