18" or 19" wheels?

I agree and would prefer a really light weight 18. I know it is a better setup. However, the OP mentioned he got a set of HRE's with the car which are really fine wheels. My feeling is that he might really enjoy those on the street. Tire size, tire condition, age and alignment are the likely cause of the tire noise issue, and the feeling that he has that there is not enough rubber under the car.

Taken to extremes, I agree that to each his own has its limits - as my mockery of chrome 20"s on this car woud tell. A lightweight 19" setup with quality shoes is a long way from that.
But I'm getting the sense that this is more a religious argument to you, and one thing we're taught to never to debate is religion, so... Cheers.

however..if i swore to the fact that 18" wheels were "better" for handling and performance on 96t's than 19's would that be blasphemous? or "gospel"?
it's a rhetorical question. don't bother lol. cheers to you too.

i was talking the relative merits of one wheel size over another lol nothing more or less. not sure at all what religion might have to do with that?

I don't think there is anything wrong with 19" running GT2 sizes. Only thing I like about 18's are that there are more tire choices including R compounds.
