Default Any excellent paint touch up or detail shops in Northern CA

Hi all,

I'm getting my Z car ready for an upcoming Z car show this weekend (Sorry, I still haven't found my Porsche) but figured I'd get some recommendations from this forum.

I have a spot that needs to be touched up, and for the sake of originality, I don't want my panel repainted (its otherwise perfect). I need a dime size area touched up to match the rest of this pristine car. The car is a super garage queen, I really want something that is unnoticable and will last to the frequent waxing/glazing the car recieves.

Anybody have any recommendations as to who they would let touch their car for this kind of repair. I did do some self touch up around the front of the car, but I don't want to bother with this. This is a little hairy for a guy and a touch up bottle.....

Anyone know who those concours cars use? For the age of this car, this is really in concours condition, I'd like it treated as such.

Thanks in advance,

Salah

Try Classic Auto Body in Berkeley (5th Street near Gilman). Ask for Jim or Chris.

I like Uptown Body & Fender in Oakland.

Ask for Giovanna @ 510-251-8009.

They are @ 401 26th Street (next to Bauer Repair, a killer repair shop).

They have done a couple of touch-ups for me when I didn't want to have the hole area painted.

re: Detailing (as opposed to touch up/body work), I'm sending my Mercedes over to Classic Care (416 26th Street, 510-835-4292, Kathleen), based on a recommendation from the folks @ Bauer.
