You didn't understand the relevance of my post. I explained it to you.

Pretty easy stuff.

Now the guys at Sportec did a great job on the gasket seals on my Tip but I did think that their proposed price for a new MAF of more than $1,100 was a tad steep, unfortunately I had to decline their offer as had a spare "Der Luftmassenmesser kostet leider sehr viel. Von Porsche 1038.86.- Sfr.
Dieser Sensor ist führ sehr vieles zuständig- ohne diesen oder wenn er defekt ist dann läuft der Porsche nicht mehr einwandfrei"

Yes. I can provide you with as many as you like for that price. If you are nice about it, I'll do $900 each

or get the Bosch for ~$200, still has the Porsche part # on it...

Ok they don't have the same Porsche part number but is this exactly the same product that only costs $60 ?
I bought a couple of these. Been working fine. I have a markski inlet setup and the ebay MAF's are doing well with high flow. I keep a real OEM one in the car in case the ebay one fails. Never used the spare in 2 + years....

in spite of my many posts touting their functionality and great price, i've just recently had two ebay mafs fail in a row, ( or never work properly at all, more accurately ) resulting in a protracted row with the ebay seller over the $43.00 lol. what a pita. i have no doubt i wouldn't have had the issues were it not for the cheaper generic mafs, which had heretofore worked for my car just fine. but i'm throwing in the proverbial towel on ebays mafs moving forward. dammit.

here comes my first oem bosch. found local for 150. it better have shiny brown wax paper with it, is all i can say.

Why can you then buy the Bosch version with the Porsche Part number on it for less than 25% of the price ??

Your not paying for the PORSCHE overhead/dealer network your buying on the open market with vender competition.

Sure, but why do Porsche then allow Bosch to sell it with a Porsche no. outside their parts network ?
