Default Oil cooler

Does anyone know if it is possible to get to the oil cooler without dropping the engine? Have a small coolant leaker and suspect that the breather hose on top of the cooler has come loose.
Thanks

Anything is possible. The time that you spend to drop the engine low enough to STRUGGLE to get to the hose clamps >>it would be easier to drop the engine. With that said, I bet that you have a coolant fitting loosening up> which will cause the coolant leak and then the sudden gusher (when it pops out).. OR the coolant oring has failed between the heat exchanger and console.

If the breather/coolant hose poped off, the stainless line will freely move side to side. A plastic clamshell clamp holds the line from moving out of position. The clamp secures in the plenum cross brace at the back of the engine.

As an update I needed to replace the clamp on the breather hose on top of the oil cooler. Was able to get at it easily by removing the throttle body and the horizontal intake tube. Wasn't too bad.
