I've always loved German cars and the wife and I finally picked up a 2002 911 Turbo. We have been looking for either a 911 or Cayman for some time now and finally came across this.

We love the thing...it's the fastest car either of us have ever owned, and it handles like a dream. We bought it from a local dealer here in Boise and they were really good to work with. After we signed I went to drive it home and rolled down the windows, it started raining on the way home so I rolled up the window and when it stopped raining I went to lower it and guess what broke? The window regulator. I called the dealer up and talked to them and they're going to pay 100% of parts and labor even though it doesn't have any warranty...so the wife and I found that really nice.

Over all we're enjoying the hell out of it and hope to for some time.

Pics after we washed it for the first time:

EDIT: Guess I can't post pics with a free account...that's...cool.

Welcome and congratulations on a stunning looking car. Glad to see you had a pleasant experience with your dealer. What's mileage on the beast ?

It's a 6 speed, it had 67k when we bought it and it's over 69k now. It has the Bose sound system, and electric seats.

It's all stock, and will probably stay that way. In a year or two we may get new wheels since I'm not a big fan of the ones on it, but that will be a while away.

Those wheels look great on an arctic silver car. Not great on the darker colors.

I think the wheels look great with that color. Nice car.

You may want to pull that front bumper off one weekend and make sure the radiators are nice and clean. Headlights and markers are super easy to remove...then find the screws and the cover is off in 15 minutes.

I'll look into that. What is the normal temp for these things to run at? The past couple of weeks its been 100+ degrees and the needle has barely moved above the 180* mark when sitting in traffic. It is normally even or just above but touching the 180* mark while driving.

Temp is good. It may even run upto around 190. No issue on your temps. You probably had the AC on which puts the cooling fans on high and constant, which helps provide more cooling. Once the AC is off you may notice a slight increase.

Cool. I didn't think it was an issue since most cars run at or around 200*, so I thought that this thing actually ran kind of cool. And I did have the A/C.

I got a call from the dealer on Monday saying they have the window regulator in and they'll be swapping it out tomorrow, so I'm excited to have two working windows!
