Default Video - Speedtech Full 3" X-Pipe

We finally got around to installing one of our Speedtech full 3" X-Pipes today and made a short video. I hope you enjoy it, as much as we enjoyed making it. We feel this system sounds absolutely phenomenal, especially in person! Video link below...

Can you get a clip with no cats, being I do not have cats no more on my system. I would love to hear it raw!

Thanks

Bobby Ali

Hi Bobbi,

I can, but it will not be for a little while...the car is back in winter storage (I just took it out for a day) and I have a few other projects in process right now...

I will offer that when going from catted to catless, catless is a couple of notches up the ladder louder and has a slightly more hollow bark - this system is very aggressive, catless is even more so. This video gives you a good idea of what it would be either catted or catless. For catless, just think a little louder, a little more aggressive and you have it.

Hi Bobby

We decided to not go forward with the wide angle slant tips as they only would fit on our 2.5 quiet version and they added drone that is otherwise not present with our 2.5 system...The area required with a 3" outlet pipe is not sufficient to allow that style tip to fit within the constraints of the exhaust, pipes, bumper, etc.

I was referring to the SpeedTech tips to use with our systems. That's a whole different design...ours are designed differently to fit with our systems.

John, I am still wanting to exchange my tips for the wide-angle version, does your offer still stand? Send me a PM with the details.

Could you post an in-car video while driving at 65mph in 6th, accelerating, etc..
It sounds awesome from the outside!

Our car is in winter storage for several more weeks and we are expecting more snow tomorrow night and Thursday...

It sounds fantastic inside the car, a lot like driving a Ferrari F430 - similar interior sound level as the ferrari and similar high pitched wail/tone - it sounds higher pitched inside the cabin than outside the car. Not sure if video will capture that aspect....it screams (in a good way) at WOT, throttle blips, etc.! This is one of our "LOUD" offerings for those that want to and enjoy hearing the motor wail - it's very entertaining and enjoyable to operate. I love it...and very little drone for a system like this - hardly any! The sound is incredibly good...

I have a 3.0 X-Pipe w/ 100cpi cats available at a nice discount from a customer that just put his car back to stock. This is a great chance to pick up one of these fantastic systems at a substantial savings. We will provide our lifetime warranty on the system, as well.

For sound clips - check out the links in the first post above...

Please email or PM for further details...could make a great Holiday gift for someone :-)

No CEL issues with our systems and they pass emmissions testing everywhere including CA. The 3" X-Pipe has a bit of drone, however, we have engineered it so that any drone is very minimal, only present in a very small window and the pitch is higher with less impact - IMO this pipe is totally livable, unlike some other full 3" systems I have heard and I am very sensitive to drone.

We do have systems are virtually drone free, such as our very popular 2.5 quiet muffled system.

Each have very different characteristics - you can call or email and I will be happy to discuss the sound attributes of our various exhaust options for the 996TT.

Still a huge fan of my system, passed CA emissions and gives me the performance needed for the track with out blowing too loud at Laguna. This is my 5th exhaust and finally my last! Go for it!
