Thanks guys. New door gets installed next week with a side mounted door opener and tight to the ceiling tracks. This is a working garage so I needed lighting and higher working surfaces. Been a long time coming, but finally made the "priority list." My daughter's boyfriend called it my "museum" given all the past flames pics...

When I put the lift in my garage, I went with a jackshaft opener for the door. Got another foot of clearance for the times I leave the car up in the air.
Also got T5 light fixtures
You will like the upgrade

Installed a Rennline fire extinguisher mount to the drivers seat.

A Christmas present to myself.

Thank goodness I replaced the factory seats with Recaro's sometime ago. Much easier taking them out to install the mount. The factory ones weigh about 60lbs each!

When my indy is back from vacation, 6 piston front calipers and slotted floating discs and a GT2 front bumper are next.

the nice thing about that mount is that you can sit in the seat and not notice that the extinguisher is there

I will. I have slowly been building my car for the last 6-7 years.

Added a Precision Porsche GT2 deck lid when the rear wing hydraulics started leaking. The GT2 front is being added to give more down force.
I was considering of using a front turbo splitter from Joe Toth. However, my car would need to be re-classified.

Fantastic project, love it. We will need a picture thread after completion, if you ever see the end of modifying your car ;-)
