So far this is the first day I really got to start it cold in the morning seems like there's more noise not less so far but we will see. I have always run Mobil 1 0W-40 never had issues before it's just the Napa by me had mobile 1 5W/50 on sale for 9.29 qt instead of 16.50 they had over 300 qt in the warehouse. Mesh screens sound like a great idea to keep debris out, I will just get in habitat every few years cleaning it myself.

yeah, the screens are an admittedly extreme way of dealing with all that stuff, but it sickened me every time i would take the bumper off. but i also like the look of them actually

re the oil? hopefully your results will mirror mine, the car seems to like it noticeably. good luck with it!

So you have more noise on M1 5w-50 than M1 0-40, is that correct ?

Argued with some no-996 folks about how our cars should be valued higher. I truly believe that they will continue to tick up in 2015.

i don't think they''ll gain at all. i shake my head in wonder when i think of the unreasonably depressed market value of this iteration knowing what i know from owning. but the mere fact my old 993 c2 coupe is worth more than this current 550+rwhp beast is only proof that much of the world has gone sideways if not in fact even upside down. imagine.

i picked up an oem gt3 bar today literally for beer money. this will be my 3rd sway bar in as many days! lol at least the car'll be proper again ..

anyone needs an oem rear sway. i can pay it forward lol

When I posted orginally that was based on driving my car after the oil change only 4 miles to top off my oil and then parked it in my garage till Monday. After driving my car to work the last few days I can say I have noticed my car a bit quieter. I have driven a little over 50 miles since I switched to M1 5W-50.

Would you mind posting a picture or PM me your front bumper with the screens installed. I agree it was amazing how much crap gets sucked into are radiators I dislike smokers even more after finding so many cigarette butts.

me too! was the cig butts that put me over the edge!

i'll try to snap a cell phone pic in there next day or so. I'm technologically challenged so results vary and many of my efforts at pics/uploading/resizing etc bring mixed results or even none. frustrating. its why i try so infrequently. but i'll try again.

it just looks like home depot silver mesh screen. think thinner gauge chicken wire LOL

I exchanged my front PCCB rotors and pads for steel GT3 components.

If you used GT3 front rotors on your TT then your offset is wrong and the rotor is not centered within the centerline of the front caliper. The GT3 front offset is 1.5mm different from the TT. You should use 997TT front rotors...

That's good to know, I'd be a bit concerned if the higher weight oil made the rattle louder.

^ It isn't the outside temp I'd worry about - I'd worry about high centering on 10" of wet snow

My lift finally got put in, Blizzaks go on tomorrow
