The Free kind? I dunno it was some broken old system that was laying around the shop. I kept the good catalyst and cut up the rest with a hacksaw and welded it back together to run strait out.

P.S. What is your relationship to Thomas Classics? I only ask as we purchased my fathers 997.1TT from them and it seemed like a pretty good place.

I hit an interesting milestone today. 12 years and 111,111 miles and I never get tired of driving it.

Detailed the car.

Washed
Clay bar
Colinite 915.

Turned out great. The Colinite 915 works really well on the arctic silver. It adds a nice amount of depth and "wet look"

flatbed to porsche dealership to R&R the fuel pump. since the last one got replaced in my driveway for the 600 the new pump cost, I'm figuring it'll be twice the cost at an LA dealership as that was the thing to do quickly. I've managed to avoid the dealerships for a few years now but a dead pump at the side of the road is a different story esp being 5 miles from the porsche store.

oh well. at least it will have a *warranty*

I drove it!! After 3 months of random odds and ends and refreshing stuff I drove my car. I forgot how silly the k16 billets are in daily driving.

Took some new photos with my Champion RS184's with custom RUF caps and newly reupholstered sport seats. The car looks so much fresher now.

Default Drive time

Summer has abated here in Dubai, took my TT for a desert road trip, 800km, some off dirt road action, hills, high speed sections, had it all.
What an awesome car.

Busy weekend for me and the new P-Car.

I ordered up some WeatherTech mats in black as the car came with some weird, gray units. The black units fit much better and should stand up well to PNWet winters.

The leather was is decent condition if not a bit dry. I applied several coats of Lexol, including one I left overnight to really soak in to the leather. Now the seats are exceptionally supple.

The previous owner never replaced the tape deck storage deal so when a package showed up from Suncoast, I quickly had a new storage cubby. Nice.

After accidentally figuring out how to work the headlight washers at speed last week, I need a new washer cover. A new nozzle w/ cover was installed.

New, smoked side market light were swapped in.

The big project was the 997.2 GT3 SSK install. It went rather smoothly with some direction from a nice Renntech article. And the shifting now... ugh, so much better. And shorter!

And finally, a good wash and wax. The PO hadn't seem to have waxed it in some time. Sadly, no pictures as it was about dark when I finished up.

Default Some paint work...

The left rocker was cracked, so I fixed it and painted them silver along with the front lip. I'm loving the new look, but debating whether or not to do the back.

Last night, I adjusted the headlights up. It's amazing what one can do when you read the owner's manual.
