Spoiler sticking up
My rear spoiler is sticking in the up position; it is not retracting even when the car is shut off. The dash switch does not bring it down. It is not throwing a warning light, and it doesn't look crooked like one side is retracting and the other side sticking. Any thoughts?

loss of fluid in the rams creates an imbalance which plays out in uneven up/down, and partially elevated and or retraction.
the can be fixed by very knowledgeable techs, as i just had mine refilled yesterday. i had all the symptoms except error messages. in fact, they only go up an inch or two then one side would bind and not fully lower.
they CAN be fixed but ya gotta find the right ppl do it. even porsche will only sell a brand new kit, incl pump motor and all to replace.

The spoiler repair path is a slippery slope. Since it is a known failure point, take a look at the fixed wing solution sold on Ebay. I installed that kit on mine after numerous attempts (and money!) to fix the hydraulic system.

It's weird- I drove it for a couple of days with it stuck in the up position, then it retracted by itself. I don't see any sign of fluid leaks. I guess I'll use it as is for awhile and see if it gets worse or finally quits totally.

you're low on the fluid man. check again, for miniscule amounts of the leaking from rams. take the caps off the rams. check the banjo bolt area..
i have always found that frequent but discriminate squirts of a silicone spray on the stanchions is a preventative as the failure of these is always marked by initial dfficulty to deploy/retract evenly and full length of their intended travel.
absent the micro switches failing ( possible, yet rare ) it's usually traceable to leaking fluid in one or both rams which puts undue ( unmanageable ) pressure on the pump to get it back up. per my earlier shared revelations about this issue, and that my spoiler is now miraculously now resurrected, i know feel compelled to spread the word far and wide that this infamously problematic component part of this incredible car, now has a "fix", that allow owners to continue to display their teutonic plumage at speed with impunity, and to raise up at will.

same problem for me since I bought mine in September. Been in the shop three times, and they blame it on aftermarket electronics. I just gave up. As long as there is no oil leak, and it extends before hitting hyperspace, I am good.

One thing to check is the lower micro switch on the passanger side ram. What happens is these switches are placed in with a snap fit. Once the snap fit loosens up the wing will not retract. Pull the lower micro switch check the contacts, and if it fits loosely you can wire tie it tightly in place.
