Default Weight of 996TT Engine/Tranny

Anyone know what the weight of the 996TT engine and 6 speed tranny together are?

I know it is flippin heavy versus other models. I need to drop a motor/tranny, and am wondering if my 1000lb hydraulic table will handle it or not (has dropped 930/993TT/etc motors just fine for years). I use to use a bigger hand crank table at the shop for dropping 996TT/997TT engines that could have probably supported an entire car, but no longer have that access to that table. I would have to do some modifications on the hydraulic table to keep it all stable side to side, but that isn't an issue. I just don't want to get half way down and realize I have an issue with the weight. I guess it is mostly for peace of mind, because I am crazy enough to just start tearing into it.

The cheap orange table will lift the engine and trans.

My info is the engine weighs in at 260kg (includes dual mass flywheel). The Tip equipped car's engine is lighter at 253kg(no dual mass flywheel).

The manual transmission weighs 72kg while the Tip weighs 125kg. Both transmission weights are with the transmission 'wet' ready to install. The Tip weight includes the weight of the oil cooler.

Sincerely,

Macster.

Thanks Mac, I guess if I would have just opened up the workshop manuals it would have been staring me in the face within about the first 10 pages, lol.

For those that have done this before, are you using blocks of wood between the table and motor to balance it? Any tips?

I did because I wanted to support the engine directly by the engine block. But saw it done without anything under..... Dimension are approximative because some cuts had to be done to fit properly on the engine block....
