has anybody done this I am serously thinking of it for my 996 TT ?

I think it looks great.. But only because of the shade difference. I dont think a contrasting color would look good.

If you love it, do it.

I will say though that selling a car with a center stripe will be difficult if you ever have to do that. Not only is the stripe a personal preference issue, it is also something that would require a major paint job to get rid of (unlike, say, wheels), so you will be limiting your potential buyers pool.

There was a 993 C4S in an LA dealership that sat for months if not more than a year even at deep discounts and it had a huge center stripe.

Actually if you do the decal route it is easily reversible. The guy in the picture removed it and you can't tell it was there. His name is Ken and posts around here every so often.

Yeah, that's right: decals would be easier. You could also put a big oval with racing numbers on!!

yes I would just add removeable decals its pretty easy, who's TT is that above as I need to source some decals
