Post 996 turbo oil pressure

Arnaud,
If you have onr of the real early 996 turbo, go to your nearest Porsche Dealer. There is a Technical Bulletin dealing with this problen. It gives vin# involved and repair procedure.
Pete.

I don't think it is a really early car. It does not have the small bumbers in front and the waranty started a month ago.

Do you know if there is a place on the web I can look at to read these tech bulletins?

Thanks

Arnaud

Thanks for the information.

The problem I have experienced only occurs when the car has been sitting under the sun for a while during a hot day. The Porsche tech told me this was not a problem since the oil pressure build in less than 10 seconds. He also told me all turbos do this in regions that have hot weather.
Maybe he is misinformed. I'll check when I'll change the oil after the break-in period. Do you have the recall number by any chance?

Thanks!

Arnaud
