Default GT3 996 ECU Tuning

Hi All, is it possible to get into the ECU of a 996.2 GT3 and tune?

Yes. I have a custom Evomsit tune on mine which works very well with my set up.

+1 here with a BBi tune. Makes a big difference if you have the right supporting mods (intake, exhaust, etc)

Thanks Luis and Scott, did you do any dyno runs, Track Laps or 1/4 mile runs to see the difference?

Not with my current GT3, but with my previous 05 and a completely different set up, the car did 372 rwhp.

I can say that with the tune, IPD plenum, 997 GT3 TB, full cup exhaust, BMC filter and cup gears, my current car is noticeably faster than my previous car in the link above. I plan on doing a dyno for ****s and giggles this year just to see how much more power this car makes than that one.

I have similar mods as Luis. My car was tuned on the dyno. The biggest gains were in the mid-range as it picked up around 40 ft lbs under 5k RPMs.

It did right around 370 hp at the wheels on California 91 octane.

Mine also makes around 370 rwhp with tune, exhaust, ipd and 997 TB. Lots of mid range which I assume is from the exhaust headers. Pulls like a freight train.

You guys suck. Guess I'm going to have to add the 997 tb, Ipd, and tune now too!

40 ft/lbs gain on a 3.6 NA motor? That's pretty nuts.

Hey guys, wanted to chime in and confirm that the 996 GT3 does have some nice potential. I just spoke with our tuner and he mentioned a nice 15-20hp/tq gain depending on what supporting mods you have already like exhaust and intake.

Our ECU tuning would be $795 and is a bench flash so we'd need your ECU. If you are looking for exhaust we've got you taken care of, I chat with Greg over at IPD 2-3 times a week as one of his largest distributors, and have the 997 GT3 82mm TBs in stock.

If you need anything at all, give me a shout any time i'd be happy to work with you
