Damn, I was quoted $1800 on a rebuild kit from Guards for my 997 Turbo...

Your car is handicapped with terrible ramps, so you need new pressure rings. The 996 gt3s use the exact same ramps as a 996 Cup and don't need to change them.

Go with Guard. Matt was very helpful with my recent purchase. I had Guard internals inside the factory cast iron housing (which were great but the factory housing eventually failed) and subsequently just upgraded to the billet GT3 Club unit.

Give Matt a call and he'll set you up. Matt's diffs are terrific and he's always there for after sale support. I had his billet GT3 Club and recently upgraded to the stronger GT2 Pro. Amazing products..
