Default Road Atlanta tips?

Heading to Road Atlanta for the first time in March and thought I would ping the forum for any tips or advice. Anything to look out for?

Are we flat through 9? I see some people backing off down the back straight.

Early, late, middle into the Esses?

Thanks in advance.

J

Yes, Flat through 9. I think it is one of the best and one of the more challenging tracks in NA. Turn 11 is the gut check.

Have a local help you with reference points and have fun, great track. Did it last March and had a blast. Wish it was closer.

Yeah, it's not really close for me, either. It is south, and at this time of year, that's important. lol

I'll be running with Chin Track Days, first time with them, first time at RA. They'll stick an instructor in the car with me for the first session to make sure I'm ok for Solo and to do some quick pointers on the line. Should be good.

I've also been running the course in iRacing and watching guide videos, but that only goes so far. Was really more curious about if our cars do anything differently on this track.

Flat through 9 helps. 11 looks fun... any wheel spin on stock suspension?

Good info.

I like how this one was done, too. (iRacing)

Trip was great! Track is a lot of fun. Many of the higher speed turns are on camber with increasing elevation, making you feel like a hero at every apex. lol

Yes! He was trying a new 6-7 line. Turns out it was quite a bit slower.
