Default Searching for parts..

I need some help locating several parts for my vehicle; SS Tequipment roll cage (found), OEM engine deck lid and wing, solid spoke wheels (8.5/12"). My vehicle has an aftermarket lid/wing due to a prior owners accident, and I would like to locate a set of OEM Wheels to have as spares. The roll cage would be a great addition. Paraguy68@yahoo.com

Update: I am fortunate to have found a SS Tequipment roll cage, but the mounting hardware is not available. Does anyone have the correct mounting hardware/bolts/washers for a 996 SS Tequipment roll bar/cage...or know where I can locate the required parts??

What is the aftermarket deckled and color?
You never know who may be interested in it.

I honestly do not know what the aftermarket manufacturer is, the lid and wing were installed by a previous owner at some point following repairs from an accident. Even though the current lid and wing look correct, it's not factory original which is why I am searching for OEM parts. The current set is painted Arctic silver. Once I locate an OEM set, I will post the current set for sale.

Keep a lookout on any used OEM ones that might pop up even though it's pretty rare. I just bought a complete OEM 6GT2 decklid/wing about a month ago but have not seen one since. Just yesterday while picking up parts at the dealer I checked pricing in PET and there must have been a huge recent price hike. About two months ago I could pick up a new complete factory decklid for under $9K. As of yesterday, the current price for the decklid, wing, and all the supporting bits and pieces retail at $18,729.12. No, that's NOT a typo. Wholesale pricing is about 20% lower. Some of the small plastic bits like the small black ducts that go in the decklid upright are almost $900 each. The small plastic exterior inlet covers (the ones you pull off to adjust the wing angle) are almost $1K each! The 4 hinges are $500 each. If you want the carbon wing it's about $3K more. Porsche as gone absolutely nuts with prices over the few years on many OEM parts. I've seen a 300% increase overnight on a number of items. It's crazy and seems to mirror that is going on in the air cooled market.

I think someone on here has a set of OEM 8.5/12 wheels for sale. Remember seeing it recently..

Roger, it's almost criminal how much the dealer charges for parts! Just last year a dealer quoted me $6k for the kit, wish I would have pulled the trigger on that!

^I noticed same on the cost of some smaller items too.
Priced them out one day, and a few months later they were significantly more.
Prompted me to buy some spare items I know are needed at some point to avoid paying whatever they cost then.

I've stocked up my self on various items like brake calipers for example. It's nuts how the prices are simply doubling or tripling over the last few years.

These cars are pretty popular right now and most parts relatively easy to find.
I'm sure in 5 years it will be more difficult and costly.

it's all about connections IMO...factory/OEM prices can still be 'good'
