Spiller where'd you buy from? Carnewal? Just about to pull the trigger on one from them. Damn this thread!

Yep got it from Carnewal, was about $500 AUD to my door a few months ago, but the exchange rate was slightly better then. Definitely do it, you won't be disappointed!

Would your head even hit the steering wheel if the 3 point seat belt locked?

I guess it depends on the collision...but still, with fixed backs, that seems like a lot of forward distance to cover to strike your head on the steering wheel

Don't get me wrong I loved the wheel. I just didn't want to downplay moving something 2" closer to your face in a non-5/6pt scenario....

I'm not sure it actually sits a whole lot closer than the stock wheel? Yes it is dished but the stock wheel is also offset as well.

I just fitted an Alcantara RS shifter boot to go with the cup wheel...shifting somehow feels more positive now! I love alcantara.

It's sits a little bit closer to you, but without a quick release its not that big of a difference. You can still reach the indicator lever with your left fingers.

Spiller, I'm in full agreement. I fitted the "blue stitched" alcantara shift boot last month. The combo of this w the Cup wheel is pure motorsport! It feels just right!

I'm tempted to do the handbrake now too but it never stops then haha. Handbrake is also an expensive part!

Ha, I drew the line there at the handbrake. Not necessary as I only touch it when the car is stopped.

Hey Josh, Does your steering column telescope in and out? I assume so, but wanted to confirm as it looks like Spillers wheel only moves up and down... Curious..

Mine only telescopes in and out...no up or down. I actually thought it was broken but I think if you look under the wheel, you see it can only move in and out.

Thanks guys, it's probably a RHD vs LHD thing as Spiller (Australia) has an up n down deal going and no telescoping.

I bought a yard of alcantara in the RS colour -cost about $150, trimmer could retrim it for probably $200? Much better than buying the whole part for 800 euros or whatever it is! Probably wont do it though as its not reversible then.
