Default 996 GT3 FS $67K

I am moving on to NASA racing and am selling my 04 996 GT3. 22K miles Arctic silver, black interior. The car is too nice to cut up and install a full cage. Bought in 2006. Third owner. Has been garaged at VIR the past 3 years. Upgrades: straight exhaust, kept cats in place. Monoball suspension, new bushings, hats, stiffer springs, re-valved shocks by Bilstein. GT2 rear motor mounts. Sparco seats, OMP belts good to 2017. Fires ext. Techart Roll bar, lowered, coolant fittings welded, re-geared, Transmission refreshed in 2012, RS clutch & fly wheel. Cup style nose and wing, have original parts, seats etc to take back to stock if wanted. Spares include: 1 set F & R rotors, Pagid pads, coolant hoses, extra set OEM wheels, currently on Pirelli slicks, 7 mostly worn Yokos. Car did a 2.02 at VIR last fall. Very well set up, fast and fun. PM me for more photos and info. pwbacon356@gmail.com or 804 450 4122.

Fair price.

What are GT2 motor mounts good for? Never heard about them.

I was told when I first bought the car that the stock motor mounts were allowing the motor to move a little under negative then positive G's. The Glen had eaten a few GT3's coming out of 2 and 3 on the straight. The bottom of the hill loaded up then at the crest of the hill everything gets light. The stock motor mounts are taller so the logic made sense to me. It was a 30 minute change and I still have the original ones if anyone cares.

I like the Wevo mounts with the two pillow choices, firm and quite firm. Easy install and very effective. Makes shifting sharper and keeps the motor tight to the chassis.

Someone bought a wonderfully set-up car here! My car is almost identical in terms of set-up (other than the re-gear) and it's an absolute joy to drive. Congrats on the sale (OP) and of course to the new owner. Enjoy it in great health!

Hey Folks,
I bought this car from Paul and I am not getting to the track enough to justify keeping it.

65k just like it's listed in this ad only now with 4 sets of wheels and tires

2 sets stock, 1 set CCW and 1 set Volk TE37. Rubber on the CCWs is very good (Hoos with 2 heat cycles). Rubber on 1 set of stock wheels is good (hoos with 1 heat cycle).

Stock seats are sold.

Still have stock wing and stock front bumper.

This car is fast and set up really well. I only took it to the track twice and ran a 2.05 on old slicks and it was HOT out.

Call, text, email or PM. 434 981 6714 fritz.rx7parts@gmail.com

Also some people have asked about paint work or any other issues.

Paul hit a tire wall at VIR (approx 6 years ago and paint still looks good) and damaged the drivers rear quarter which was replaced not straightened by a shop in Richmond VA that does good work. I called them etc.... before buying and didn't sweat it.

Bottomline this car is straight and fast and Paul (good dude) is an honest seller.

Don't know of any other issues and considering it's seen some track time the interior and exterior are both in good shape or about AVG for a GT3 with 22k miles.

If you want a track car look no further If you want a garage queen then move on

PS: This car comes with all sorts of nice track mods, extra rotors and pads 4 sets of wheels blah blah. Not trying to be a BS salesman but this is a very good deal!

PSS: I did check the engine stuff and it has 1 type 1 over rev from a while ago. Again I've used it for two weekends and didn't money shift so it should have no more type 1s.

I've had a few messages about selling the wheels separately.

I'll sell the volks because they are not wide enough for me but not the CCWs. The volks are 18 x 8.5 and 18 x 11. Could work with slicks or for street use but not good for 315 hoos.

If it doesn't sell I plan to still track it in 2016.

I'm looking for a halo seat (standard size like recaro spg or something) with rails if anyone has one

sold a set of stock wheels but price is still 65k (apparently the value on these cars is going higher) with one stock set of wheels (with like new hoos), CCWs with very good hoos and volks with no rubber

sorry to those wanting pics of the volks. I've been busy at work etc.... but will eventually list those in the parts section as time permits

JUST wow!

Price is 65k firm

I need to seriously list this car somewhere and raise the price LOL

CCW wheels are not for sale separate from the car. Volks are for sale at 2k shipped in the states. Will take pics and get the offsets etc....

Remember this car comes with:
original stock bumper and original stock rear deck and wing
New brake rotors and pads
original AC parts and all kinds of other parts. Suspension arms, springs, clutch blah blah blah
