Default Extended Warranty

I am considering the purchase of an extended warranty for my 6-3, just bought it. It has 56,200 miles on it. Can any of you chime in with your experiences? Good reputable Co? Can it be done at this mileage? any other thoughts?

Many Thanks in advance

Thanks Chuck. I did a search and found a couple of names. Looking for some recent feedback and perhaps even a solid lead. Anyone else have input? My car has 55K miles and is now 10 years old. Will the aftermarket warranty companies still warranty the car? TIA.

Many Thanks
Chris

I had a beneficial experience with the aftermarket company I used, but it was only available because the car was still covered by the original warranty. It was also sold by the local Porsche dealership. It might be worthwhile to go to your local dealership and see if they have anything available. I've heard more bad stories than good from other aftermarket companies. FWIW, the company I used was Easy Care.

We do some work where the customer has an aftermarket warranty. We have found them to be good to deal with for the most part, and we have done some big dollar repairs at their expense (997 GT3 gearbox etc). Though these sorts of claims are rare, when one faces a repair bill like that, they are glad they had the warranty... In most cases, they won't even send an adjuster out, we just send in the invoice.

Cheers
