Shop for trying out racing seats in south SF Bay Area?
Since the last time I sat in racing seats was many years back, I definitely need to try out racing seats before I buy one. I think I came across a thread that mentioned there's shop here in the south bay area that sells racing seats as well as doing roll-cage install (amongst other track related prep/install) a while back. I did a search again and can't find it anymore. The shop has track or something in its name. I know I need to bookmark the website but I didn't so
Greatly appreciate to whoever can tell me what that track shop is.
Thanks,
Jon

dell is sort of right. I have many seats but they are all the same
we have a SPg Hans XL, SPG Hans regular
the. shop u mentioned is TC design but he doesn't have them in stock to try
wine country Motorsport in Sonoma (sears point) has cobra and maybe three other seats u can try.
easiest is find a NASA race day
goto trk
bug the racers and try each for a few seconds.

+1 for wine country. You can also try griffin motorwerke, I think they have the largest selection (http://www.g-werke.com/).
he was a hoot 20 years ago, i heard after LOTS of marajuana he mellowed out. he's cool, but if u feel he's about to chew ur head off, he actually likes u.

I've also had great experiences with Rob at wine country. I just purchased a helmet, hans, gloves etc from them two weekends ago.

Thank you all for the answers! I think it is TC Design, I think I will check out the G-werke place in Berkeley and maybe wine country moto when I need to go bug racers to let me try their seats at Sonoma raceway.
I have always wanted to try going to track days, but did not have the appropriate car to do so. I figured I want to get a seat that keeps me secure. No idea if the kind of track days I have in mind need HANS, as I'm new to all this.
Also, what's a "halo" seat? See that referred to here and there, but googling turned up nothing.

All great advice. Please do not do harnesses without at least a half cage, and please do not do harnesses without a HANS. There are many posts and opinions on this, but better safe than sorry in my mind. So basically you go all the way (half / full cage, harnesses, HANS) or don't go at all (use factory 3 points). I think there is a HANS out there that works with 3 points but I'm not familiar with it.
