Ladies and Gentlemen, I have an idea..

A thread to list our favorite or "must read" threads for the 996GT3.

We can do it per subject, divide them into categories or just list them. We may also include DIYs, useful single posts, etc.

The plan is to have one sticky "go to" thread that covers most aspects of the 996 GT3, in one page. It will help our new members (some don't know how to use the search function yet), and give everyone quick access to RL's finest threads.

Please start posting (or PM me) , and I will be updating the first post regularly.

Best,

Thanks guys!

Enthusiast's approach is spot on. A small description, for each thread you submit here, would help immensely.

I started a draft with categories. Let me know how you like it, or if you have any suggestions for making it better.

Nice John, thanks. Might as well cover all oils ie brake fluid etc.. too under oils. And don't leave out ..... Splitters, dive planes and brake ducts! Would be nice to filter all those down to just 1 ... Oh and engine mounts, de-cat, exhaust systems, plenum debunking and ecu tweaking.

I would add the 3 or 4 best build threads as they make for fun reading and a great intro to a broad spectrum of issues - the sharkwerks 3.9 (although some pic links seem broken), Serge's 4.0, 0z951s 996-wiki and your mod list would def make it IMO.

Matt good idea, I've added a "build threads" category. For example Serge's 4L thread and photos are brilliant.
BTW, I have to ask Serge about the image hosting. Broken links from outside web sites, destroy good old threads.

We would much rather host all images on Rennlist's servers, than risk them being hosted by an outside third party.

Better use this link to create albums and upload pics and then link to them in your posts to embed them within the text.
